Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Younus paid a visit to UVASRavi Campus Pattoki

University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore Vice-
Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) paid a visit to Ravi Campus
Pattoki. Dean Faculty of Animal Production & Technology Prof Dr Saima, Principal Officer
Students Affairs Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Principle Officer Ravi Campus Prof Dr Arshad
Javid and Registrar Sajjad Hyder accompanied the Vice-Chancellor.
Prof Dr Muhammad Younus visited various sections of Prof Dr Muhammad Akram educational
Complex and library. While visiting A-Block, Prof Younus planted a sapling in front of Akram
Complex for the promotion of greenery at Ravi Campus. The Vice-Chancellor presided over a
meeting the faculty members of Faculty of Animal Production & Technology and Faculty of
Fisheries & Wildlife. Various aspects have been discussed during meeting related to punctuality,
rules & regulations, new degree programmes and further enhancing quality of education &
research activities. He visited different clinics of Ravi Campus which is providing treatment
facilities to farming community. He visited the Training Center for Biologic Production (TCBP)
and reviewed vaccine production and lab facilities for imparting practical knowledge to students
regarding vaccine production.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Younus said high quality vaccination is the only way to prevent
deadly diseases like FMD and livestock farming community & students would get maximum
benefit from TCBP. He said it is direly needed to start UVAS vaccine production to curb
livestock deadly Foot and Mouth disease. He also stressed restarting 24/7 extension service for
the benefit of farming community. He asked the staff to follow office timing regularly. He
directed arranging kisan mela every year at the Ravi Campus.
Later Prof Younus along with dignitaries visited livestock farm & Dairy Animals Training and
Research Center at B Block and saw available facilities to conduct practical training to boost
dairy sector in the country
