UVAS VC inaugurates Pet Centre & Smart Classroom at Ravi Campus

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore Vice-Chancellor
Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad inaugurated recently renovated Pet Centre & state-of-the-art newly
established Smart Classroom at Ravi Campus Pattoki on Tuesday.
The Pet Centre comprised of reception, examination room, treatment & operating room for pets
(cats, dog & birds) as well as lecture room for students & office for staff.
Emeritus Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Dean Faculty of Animal Production and Technology Prof
Dr Saima, Principal Officer Ravi Campus Prof Dr Arshad Javid, Prof Dr Asim Khalid, In-charge
Pet Center Ravi Campus Dr Muhammad Imran Leghari, Project Director Building & Works Mr
Shahnawaz Bukhari and other stakeholders, veterinary professionals & pet practitioners, pet
lovers, faculty members and students were present on the occasion.
Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad along with Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha visited different sections of the Pet
Centre and reviewed available facilities for the treatment of pets.
Later Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad along with Director Information Technology
Center Mr Rizwan Saleem and other dignitaries inaugurated the Smart Classroom established at
Ravi Campus Pattoki.
This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with 30 computers, primary screens which reflected a
dedicated commitment of Higher Education Commission and UVAS to the progress of
education.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad said that UVAS is progressing day by day and
providing best treatment & disease diagnosis services to pet owners at its pet center and
maximum pet owners getting benefits from these facilities. He said UVAS class rooms & labs
equipped with latest facilities to impart best practical knowledge and education to students. He
mentioned primary aim of the smart classroom was to bridge communication gaps and foster
collaboration between other well-known universities of the world. He said smart classroom will
be a technological hub with the potential to revolutionize educational connectivity through
advanced digital tools and interactive technologies, networking for knowledge exchange among
academic institutions and a significant step towards learning about E Rozgar & Freelancing etc.
Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad also reviewed the quality of work and facilities. He acknowledged the effort
of Information Technology Center & thanked HEC for providing financial assistance to
successfully complete this project.
