UVAS arranges ‘Christmas cake-cutting ceremony’

 Non-Teaching Staff Association of the University of Veterinary and
Animal Sciences Lahore organised a ceremony for its Christian employees in connection with
the Christmas at City Campus.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad presided over the Christmas cake-cutting ceremony
while Principal Grace Bible College Lahore/Pastor Javed Tara, Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof
Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Muhammad
Azam, Principal Officer City Campus Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, President Non-Teaching Staff
Association Asad Shah, Pastor Javed Younus, Dr Shahan Azeem, Lt Col (R) Hamayun Jamil
Akhtar and a large number of Christian employees, their families & staff members participated
in the ceremony.
While addressing the audience, Prof Nasim Ahamad congratulated the Christian employees on
celebrating Christmas. He said it is the need of time to defeat all the hatreds & conspiracies and
spread the massage of ‘love, peace, brotherhood & harmony’ in Pakistan. He acknowledged the
role of Christian employees and their efforts/services in the development of UVAS. He stressed
on the equality and promoting harmony among all the employees of UVAS. He said it is the best
tradition of UVAS to celebrate Christmas ceremony every year to encourage its Christian
employees. He said UVAS ensures equal respect and rights to all its employees belong to any
religion as mentioned for minorities in the constitution of Pakistan.
Pastor Javed Tara said that we should participate in each other’s festivals to promote the message
of unity and shared the importance of humanity and special prayed for the long live of Pakistan.
